Interview of Prachi Tehlan: India Women’s Netball Captain

Born with a passion for sports, Prachi Tehlan started her sports outing with Badminton in her school days and later on shifted her interest to basketball. Gifted with a height of 6 feet, an added boon for any hoopster, Prachi played Basketball to near perfection and participated in many national basketball events and also attended some international camps.

Faith however has other things in store for her, when her college sports director selected her for the College Netball team because of her height. She didn’t even know about the game then. Then a letter from the Netball Federation of India changed her life forever. After rigorous training in camps for the Delhi Commonwealth Games for nearly two years, she embarked upon her journey with a huge responsibility on her small shoulder, to take the India Women’s Netball team to glory.

There has been no looking back for Prachi since then and she has been growing from strength to strength with each tournament she plays. Speaking to Babua Biswas of sportskeeda, she talks about her career, her targets and the game at large.
