Mukul Wasnik, Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, today visited the Slum Soccer centre in Nagpur. The man in white showed immense enthusiasm to understand the growth of the organization as Slum Soccer is one of the key change agents of Society in Nagpur.
Mr. Vijay Barse, Founder & Secretary of Slum Soccer was more than happy to have exchanges concerning the organization as well as the vision that is fastening Slum Soccer’s activities collectively.
Realizing the devotion and commitment that the coaches are showing, Mr. Wasnik interacted with them individually which gave the coaches and volunteers huge encouragement. The coaches from various centers had an opportunity to speak about their experiences in Slum Soccer.
He also met a number of participants to be aware of the kind of life they are leading and how Slum Soccer has been positively influencing them and has changed their lives.
Some of the centers’ undergoing renovation at this point, was the key subject discussed with the Minister. Slum Soccer has been a continuously expanding phenomenon and the development of the organization’s infrastructure is indeed vital for further growth and to implement the projects that are still in concept level.
He also seemed very pleased to hear about the Organization’s future plans and about the direction the organization is heading towards.
