Can Arsenal Renew Their Ambitions at Blackpool?

Starting off the season on a bright note last year, Arsenal FC slowly succumb to the mounting pressure and are now on the line of another season without a silverware, stretching the club’s trophy drought to seven consecutive years.

Arsenal recorded their last Premier League match win in February when they beat Stoke City 1-0. Injuries hurt them there after managing three draws against much weaker side which hampered their EPL title race.

Wenger has been forced to dig deep into his goal keeping option as the first two choice keepers Lukasz Fabianski and Wojciech Szczesny are out with injuries and Manuel Almunia manning the goal. These injuries even forced Wenger to call Jens Lehman back from retirement. The team had also been playing without the service of defensive leaders Thomas Vermaelen and Johan Djourou along with striker Theo Walcott.
